Rake: $4 max + $1 for the Promo drop

Tables: They have seven tables, but only use three of them. Only two of them even have a shuffler. They are 10-handed, and have cupholders built in the table. There is no betting line.

Location: The Poker Room is located right next to the Sportsbook off 2nd Street, and is very close to the East Tower if you're planning on getting a room.

Promotions: They have a Bad Beat Jackpot around $20k. You need to get Quads beaten. They also have the usual High Hand Bonuses that are standard in Reno.

Comps: I know they have some sort of comps, because you swipe your card at the Desk. But since it's Harrah's, I doubt it's very much.

Food & Beverage: They have a fridge with bottled water in it, and I think they have some coffee. There is a Poker Menu that you can order from Room Service. There is also a Quizno's across from the Poker Room.

House Rules: So far, I have seen anything that isn't standard in all Reno room. There is a No-Limit UTG Straddle and $100 bills are in play.

Tournaments: They have daily tournaments at 10am and 6pm. The structures and payouts are terrible, but the players are worse.

Four times a year, they run a 2-step satellite over a weekend for the WSOP Main Event. I have never attended one of these satellites, and I only know about them because they send me a flyer in the mail. I'm not sure how many players actually show up, so try them at your own risk.

Opinion: I typed up my opinions of the room back in August '10 when I came out here to look for an apartment. Unfortunately, nothing has really changed, and I doubt it ever will.

Actually, things have changed, but for the worse. They are now closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. I don't know if it's permanent, or just for the winter, when all the Poker Rooms are slower. The rest of the days are very slow, and I wouldn't be surprised if they shut down the Poker Room by the end of 2012.
